Manchester United Transfer News: Second Signing To Arrive Soon, Morata Speaks Out And More

Manchester United have been linked with many players this summer, with Jose Mourinho looking to rebuild a team capable of challenging the Premier League title next season.
United have been linked with Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan for a potential transfer move this summer from the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and according to the recent reports, Dortmund have sent officials to Manchester United to finalize Mkhitaryan’s move to the Old Trafford. Dortmund have valued the player at £30million after having failed to convince him on staying at Germany this summer.

Further into the transfer, United have been taunted over their failure to sign Basel teen Breel Embolo who completed a move from Basel to Schalke, thus putting United’s attempt to sign the player to an end.

The Swiss teenager yesterday completed a move from Basel to Schalke, ending United’s pursuit.

And Schalke took to Twitter to mock United, Arsenal, Wolfsburg, Red Bull Leipzig and Barcelona at their failed attempts to land Embolo.
Alvaro Morata who has many clubs looking to sign him this summer has stated that he would like to play at Real Madrid, although he did state that he would like to stay at the club wherein he will be an important player and makes him feel the same.

Speaking to Spanish TV channel Cuatro, he said: “I do not have to prove anything. I am no longer a Castilla [Real Madrid’s reserve team] player. Madrid will decide if I am capable. If not, another decision will have to be taken.

“I want to be one more at Madrid and fight for a place. I am a Madrid player and I cannot say anything. I would love to continue at Madrid, but I want to be important and fight for a place.”
