Why Manchester United Should Avoid Signing This Ligue 1 Midfielder – Not A Jose Type Player

Manchester United has been linked to Adam Ounas after the player sparked speculation on social media.

Adam Ounas followed Manchester United forward and fellow countryman, Anthony Martial on Twitter, which may have simply been a coincidence considering their shared French nationality. However, he further sparked rumours by following Bastian Schweinsteiger, Wayne Rooney, and Marcus Rashford.

What is clear is that if there is a transfer in the works, Jose Mourinho has established his longing to bring in young talent in various positions. Having recently completed the signing of Eric Bailly, a 22-year-old centre back, the Manchester club is now linked with the teenager forward player.

The attacking midfielder scored five goals in 28 appearances for Bordeaux last season and is considered as one of the newest prospects in his position in Europe.

In April 2013, Ounas joined Bordeaux on a one-year contract and in April 2014, he signed a two-year trainee contract.

He made his first-team debut for Bordeaux on 4 October 2015, being introduced in the 72nd minute, scoring the last goal in his club’s 3–2 defeat away to Lorient.

Ounas is a great player for his club, given his age and experience. But the French youngster still has a long way to improve to become the player qualified to play under Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Adam Ounas is the kind of player who would struggle at Premier League, especially being a part of such a massive club with lots of pressure on him.

The 19-year-old gives his all at attacking but lacks the defensive part of the game, which Jose Mourinho considers to be very essential in his team. And which is one of the reasons why a tactical genius like Juan Mata was and most probably will again be let go from Mourinho’s team.

There are already better players in the club to fill in for that position, including our skipper.
