Why Jose Mourinho Should Sell This Under Performing Midfielder Right Away (Not Mata)

With rumours going on about selling/transfer listing of several players by Jose Mourinho, few names are looking almost clear for a club exit this very summer. Marouane Fellaini is one of them.

Signed under David Moyes back in 2013, Fellaini has never to a certain extent won the hearts of the Old Trafford faithful, and right now it’s almost certainly fair to say there wouldn’t be much of a protest if he is to be sold.

The Belgium international has been constantly criticized by the fans around the world for his display on the pitch not being up to the stature of Manchester United.

Fellaini followed his Everton boss to Old Trafford, but failed to bring his old form along. The Belgian midfielder is also one of the most inconsistent players in the team, performing well very rarely.

Marouane Fellaini has recently done nothing except getting his hair colour changed. Manchester United needs a much better skilled and talented midfield than what it is right now, and Fellaini lagging behind the most out of all.

In April 2014, Marouane Fellaini was named as one of the “10 worst buys of the Premier League season” by The Daily Telegraph. He made only fifteen league starts during the season, in contrast to thirty one starts he made in the previous season while at Everton.

Given his physicality, he is expected to do well at the defensive midfield role but he has failed to be in a consistent and decent form at that position too.

The 28-year-old did have a few good games, but couldn’t continue that run as he faced another ban towards the end of the season. The Belgian midfielder has made his impression of being the dirty player of the club. Fouling players senselessly, he is doing nothing positive in return for all these dim-witted actions on the pitch.

Marouane Fellaini should be sold by the club, as the midfielder still hasn’t able to prove his worth at the club despite getting fair amount of chances. In these crucial times, the club needs players who are skilled and consistent in order to reach back to the top.
