Nemanja Matic has informed Chelsea officials that he wants to leave the club in the summer according to the Sun. The player has been linked with a move to Manchester United after Jose Mourinho has been officially announced as the next manager at Old Trafford.
The player has been one of the biggest under-performers for Chelsea last season as the Blues’ title defense collapsed miserably. He was one of the players who spoke in defense of Jose Mourinho when the Portuguese was under fire at Chelsea. Now, in spite of his poor performance last season, Mourinho is said to be a big fan of the Serbian and is keen on a reunion at Old Trafford next season.
According to the report the incoming boss Antonio Conte has held talks with several Chelsea players and post that the Serb is looking for an exit from Stamford Bridge. Mourinho is looking to overhaul Manchester United and may find Matic to be an exciting addition even now.
