“There is a team that is very interested” – Manchester United Target’s Former Club Revealed More Information About The Transfer

In the recent times Villareal defender Eric Bailly has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. At first it seemed like just another rumor, but now, after the acknowledgement of Villareal, it seems that the player is in the middle of a deal with the Red Devils after all.

Bailly left Espanyol and joined Villareal in January 2015 and has had an impressive season last year. This has caused Manchester United to approach for the player who is likely to be paired with Chris Smalling if the deal is finalized. Also, Bailly’s previous club Espanyol will also be benefited if the player joins Manchester United as there is a sell on clause between Villareal and them. Espanyol is currently struggling financially and will welcome the extra revenue that can be generated through the sale of the player. They are set to receive about 5% of the transfer fee in case of a deal completion.

The Villareal CEO Fernando Roig Nogueroles has told Marca:

“There is a team that is very interested and if the three parties agree there will be no problems. If the player wants to leave and Manchester are interested and pay, we will reach an agreement.”
