Manchester United have been heavily linked with Andre Gomes in the recent times. Though there has not been any reports of bid going forward it is being speculated that the new manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the player.
According to GianlucaDiMarzio the Portuguese is willing to pay the asking price of £30m for the player. Valencial values the player at £30m and recently Juventus had submitted a bid of £22m which the Spanish club rejected. Gomes is also managed by super agent Jorge Mendes, who is also the manager for Jose Mourinho.
Gomes, 22, has played 40 games for Valencia last season and scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists. He joined Valencia permanently last summer after spending a year on loan at the club. The current contract binds him to the club till 2020 but a bid of £30m is expected to change Valencia’s mind. He could be a suitable replacement for aging Michael Carrick.
