Whenever a new manager arrives at a club we often witness the manager’s old prodigies following him to that club. Same could happen with Jose Mourinho.
While the appointment of the Portuguese manager is yet to be finalized the wheels are already in motion. According to The Daily Star, Mourinho is in touch with Gonzalo Higuain’s agent and the Argentine ace could make his way to Old Trafford in the summer. The player has recently declined to renew his contract with Napoli and the club may look to en-cash the player in the transfer window. His release clause is massive with reports suggesting in the range of £65 million, but his relationship with Mourinho could prove pivotal in the deal.
The 28 year old has broken goal scoring record in Italy with 36 goals this season and is currently in a sensational form. He also has played under Mourinho at Real Madrid and the player’s agent is in constant touch with Jose Mourinho.
