Projected Manchester United Line Up To Face West Ham United: Cameron Borthwick Jackson To Replace Injured Darmian

Manchester United will go up against West Ham United for the fourth time this season. Tuesday night’s match at Upton Park is going to be a crucial one. Manchester United needs to win both their remaining league matches to ensure their top-four spot. United will be missing their star player Anthony Martial due to an injury from Saturday’s pre-match training.

A win today can almost guarantee the fourth spot and also chances of Van Gaal keeping his job for one more year at Old Trafford

Here’s how I think Manchester United will line-up against the Hammers in the Premier League clash.

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Defenders: Antonio Valencia (Right-Back), Chris Smalling (Centre-Back), Dailey Blind (Centre-Back), Cameron Borthwick Jackson Cameron Borthwick Jackson (Left-Back)

Valencia did a decent job against Norwich City on Saturday, making his place in the starting XI again. And also, Fosu-Mensah seems out-of-form for a while now. Dailey Blind will be brought back to the starting XI after being rested against the Canaries.

Borthwick-Jackson replaced the injured Darmian 15 minutes into the game and showed a decent display. He will without a doubt, be starting today. Unless, our beloved manager tries to play Rojo again and spoil the defence.

Midfielders: Michael Carrick (Centre Defensive Midfield), Wayne Rooney (Centre-Midfield), Ander Herrera (Centre-Midfield), Jesse Lingard (Right-Midfield), Juan Mata (Left-Midfield)

Even though the age has got him, Michael Carrick is still able to play a good game and overall, remains consistent with his passing and defensive duties.

Ander Herrera took the opportunity and gave a promising performance against Norwich, and with Fellaini still out due to suspension, the Spaniard can very well start the game.

Juan Mata was without a doubt the best player on the field alongside the skipper on Saturday. He surely makes the cut.

Even though Lingard had a poor game, he can still be relied upon. More than Memphis, at least.

Forward: Marcus Rashford

After being rested alongside Bind at Carrow Road, Rashford will be making it back to the starting line-up. The 18-year-old will be expected to have a tremendous game in today’s crucial fixture.
