Why This Goal Scoring Machine Should Prefer Manchester United Over Real Madrid

It’s been almost a month since the Bundesliga star, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been heavily linked with Manchester United. The Daily Mail says that United have actually moved nearer to signing Aubameyang for a fee of £70 million. Meetings last week have established the Borussia Dortmund striker as their No.1 target for the summer and United are confident they can sign the striker as long as Real Madrid don’t make a bid. But in recent news, Real Madrid also looks keen on signing the striker.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed Manchester United’s fear by telling his desire to play at Real Madrid one day.

“I have always said that it would be a dream for me to play in Spain. And for my family,” Aubameyang said during an interview with Cadena Cope.

It will be an absolute blow for United if they fail to sign yet another main target. Gonzalo Higuain is also on the target for the Red Devils but Aubameyang’s move to the club can be more beneficial in every aspect.

Aubameyang’s Stats for Borussia Dortmund (2015/16)

Match Appearances:  42

Goals Scored: 36

Assists: 5

Avg. Shot Accuracy: 58%

Total Chances Created: 37

  1. Looking at the stats, Aubameyang is a total beast. He is also one of the fastest footballers and likes to play his game quick, which is what exactly United needs and why he needs United.

The style of play the Gabonese footballer is used to play is more quick and versatile. He can continue playing this way and succeed pretty well in the Premier League. Real Madrid has more of a steady play, using less counter attacks and changing flanks repeatedly while attacking. And that works out just fine for them in the La Liga, as the game is comparatively slower than of Premier League.

But it won’t work out well for the 26-year-old forward as he might struggle playing that kind of football.

  1. Fighting for his position is yet another problem Aubameyang might face in Real Madrid as they already have a striker who is in an equally good form and that too since his arrival at the club – Karim Benzema.

The French striker can be a problem for Aubameyang’s career at Madrid if the Dortmund striker fails to impress the people any less than Benzema.

Aubameyang can succeed a lot more as a footballer in the Premier League and especially at Manchester United where he will be the top priority at his natural role on the pitch. A move to Real Madrid can spoil his career if he even shows a slight view of his bad form in the beginning.
