Manchester United has received a green signal to sign Lucas Biglia from Lazio. According to Corriere Dello Sport, the player has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs including Manchester United.
The Argentine midfielder has done well this season and has also gained interest from Inter Milan. The report states that the Italian club is ready to sell their captain for the right amount of money. The price tag of £20 million is definitely lucrative for any Premier League club even though the player is already 30-year-old.
However since Michael Carrick’s future hangs in a balance the Red Devils may want Biglia to replace Carrick albeit temporarily. Also, the new signing Bastian Schweinsteiger has not been up to the expected standard of performance at Manchester United. With the two veteran midfielders under a microscope, Biglia can provide the additional depth and stability that Manchester Untied has been lacking this season.
