WOW! Manchester United Forward Agreed A Deal On Deadline Day

Manchester United Transfers 2021-22

Nick Powell moved from United to Hull City on loan on the January transfer deadline day. The 21-year-old player has struggled under the methods of Louis Van Gaal and will be looking to gain some game time and experience by playing for Hull.

He has played only two competitive fixtures this season and both of them ended in defeat. In both the games he came as a substitute from the bench. United had reported that he has calf strain but in an interview post transfer Powell has said that he had been training for few months now.

Hull are currently in the first division and are struggling to stay on top of the league. Their manager Steve Bruce is a former Manchester United player. The former player apparently reached out to Powell and explained the Tiger’s ambition to qualify for Premier League next season and hoping, if fit, Powel will be able to contribute to that ambition of the club.

Transcript of the interview below

“I haven’t played in a long time, I’ve been injured quite a lot, hopefully that’s past me and I’m striving to get more games and play football again. I’ve been training last couple of months so it’s time to get some games now.”

“I talked to the gaffer, the ambitions are good, so I’m glad to be a part of that and get some games.”

“He just said to me I’ll play games, the lads are good, the atmosphere is good, pushing for promotion, it’s what I want to be, top of any league so it was a win-win.”

“Yeah, any time would have been good [to leave on loan], everybody needs games. I’m happy Steve’s come in and offered me that, so it’s a good move.”
