Why Manchester United Will Not And Should Not Bring Back Paul Pogba

Manchester United’s midfield is proving a difficult puzzle to solve, with square pegs in round holes, like Juan Mata playing out wide. But Pogba may complicate things further.

The Guardian reports that if Manchester United want their former player back they are going to have to fork out £60 million and convince the player to leave Turin.

Not only will this take a huge chunk out of Louis van Gaal’s transfer kitty but whether Pogba is the type of player that fits into the Dutchman’s system is another matter.

There’s no denying the Frenchman’s immense talent, having won the ‘Golden Boy’ award in 2013 and played a big part in Antonio Conte’s Juventus retaining their Serie A title.

Pogba has made an even bigger impact last season than in his first season with the ‘Bianconeri’, scoring seven goals and proving seven assists in his 36 league games. (Squawka)

One factor which must be looked at, from a United standpoint, is the player’s attitude toward the club. Is he the player whom if he came back would lead the midfield for the next decade?

OR is he the type of player who is top quality but his loyalty his purchasable, for example, much like fellow Frenchman Nicolas Anelka.

There will not be much debate with van Gaal, it’s his way or the highway and as much as United fans would want Pogba back at Old Trafford, I am not sure he would enjoy van Gaal’s authoritarian style.
