After all Nemanja is the best centre-back in the Premier League!
Jonny Evans had a brilliant season partnering Rio Ferdinand and others in the back four, but having Vidic back could be the key to success.
Vidic was named in the 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09, and 2010-11 PFA Premier League Team of the Season.
In the 2008-09 season, he also helped United to a record-breaking run of 14 consecutive clean sheets. He was also awarded Barclays Player of the Season award, an award that he collected for the second time in 2010-11.
Nemanja’s influence on the pitch is huge, he can pass, tackle and can even score goals from corners. Now that he’s back, every single striker in the Premier League will be shaking of fear in their pre-season training.
The 30 year old defender retired from International football to prolong his club career, and I can easily see him at the very top for the next 3-5 seasons. I can’t wait to see my favourite defender in action again.
