Farwell Park, The Player Who Didn’t Give Up The Chase

So the player we bought to boost shirt sales in the East leaves the Reds to join QPR at a £1m profit. Big deal!

Except this is a man who through sheer endeavour won 4 Premier League titles and a Champions League winners medal to boot in 8 seasons.

Park Ji-Sung may not be Paul Scholes but he will long be remembered as a 100% player who didn’t know when to give up a chase and replaced skill with pure effort.

I admire Park because he represents what we want for our kids; he is the best he can be. Effort is what we want and when someone delivers, when others like Dimitar Berbatov with more skill and less endeavour don’t, then we applaud and nod knowingly.

Park wasn’t a marquee signing when he was signed from PSV Eindhoven but he was a man we will remember fondly, will always be welcome at Old Trafford and who we are proud to have had at our club.

Park, Park wherever you may be, they eat dogs in your country, but it could’ve worse, you could be scouse eating rats in a council house.

Now sing along to Darron Gibson, Kleberson or Eric Djemba-Djemba’s song…

…yes we only sing about those we love.

All together now, Berbatov…..???

Ah well at least I proved a point.

Good luck Park, we love you.
