Report: Manchester United enquire about up-and-coming Brazilian striker

Fluminense striker emerges as the latest target of the Red Devils

Manchester United have enquired about Fluminense striker Pedro, according to the Daily Mail. The Brazilian striker was close to joining Real Madrid before a crucial injury hindered his move.

Now, United’s officials have contacted the Brazilian club regarding Pedro. The 21-year-old has bagged 28 goals so far for the Brazilian outfit, with the majority of the goals being scored in the previous season.

The Flamengo youth product is still on the wish list of Los Blancos as he returned to the fold and scored two goals. Moreover, Pedro was due to make his international debut last year before his injury played the spoilsport.

How will he fit Solskjaer’s side?

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has currently put his side under scrutiny after an underwhelming debut campaign at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian manager needs reinforcements in the attack after goals have been dried up this season.

The fluctuating form of Romelu Lukaku is one of the major takeaways and Solkasjaer needs someone to take over Belgian’s position on a long-term basis.

Pedro would be a brilliant replacement and can commit to the Red Devils’ long-term future. The Brazilian starlet’s impeccable finishing technique and fierce nature inside the box is exactly what Solksjaer needs right now.
