Manchester United defender Antonio Valencia is wanted by two Premier League clubs in the winter window, according to the Sun (h/t Express).
The 33-year-old has struggled to keep his spot in the starting XI, with Ashley Young and Diogo Dalot being preferred as the right-backs.
Valencia has just five Premier League starts to his name this season, with his last start coming in the 2-0 win over Newcastle.
The report adds that Newcastle and Fulham are interested in the 33-year-old. Valencia’s contract is up at the end of the season, and the Red Devils could let him leave for free or on loan (h/t Express).
Rafa Benitez is desperate to add experience to his defence, and the report claims that the Spaniard will move for Valencia if United cancel his contract.
Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri is also interested in the United defender after losing out in the race for Chelsea’s Victor Moses, as per the report.
Valencia has been an incredible signing for the Red Devils over the years, however, his time seems to be coming to an end at Old Trafford.
Young has been wonderful this season and Dalot has improved with each game under his belt. It would be great if we can get some funds for Valencia this month.
