Juan Mata to start? – Predicted Manchester United line-up to face Liverpool

Juan Mata Manchester United

Manchester United return to Premier League action after their poor performance against Valencia in midweek.

The Red Devils could have topped their Champions League group with a win at the Mestalla but ended up losing to La Liga side.

Jose Mourinho didn’t have several players for the clash and hinted that some of them could return for the trip to Anfield.

Liverpool haven’t lost a game in the Premier League this season, but if anyone can cause an upset it has to be Mourinho.

The Red Devils might be limping but we could be more than a match if things go right for us.

Here is our predicted line-up for the huge clash on Sunday.

Predicted Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jose Mourinho

David de Gea (GK)

De Gea was excellent in our previous trip to Anfield, and United need the Spaniard to be at his best on Sunday.

Ashley Young

Ashley Young (RB)

Young will have a tough time as he would probably take on Sadio Mane in a head-to-head battle.

Chris Smalling (CB)

Smalling is one of the doubts for the game on Sunday, but even if he isn’t 100%, we need to play him to increase our chances of getting a result.

Eric Bailly (CB)

The Ivorian has seen more minutes recently due to the injuries to our other players, and he should start on Sunday.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Shaw is another player carrying a minor knock, and could just about make it to the team for Anfield.

Nemanja Matic (CM)

Matic needs to have one of his best games for us this season as he could be against one of the most hardworking midfields in the Premier League.

Ander Herrera Manchester United

Ander Herrera (CM)

The Spaniard might not be the most creative player out there his tenacity would be great for the United side on Sunday.

Marouane Fellaini (CM)

The midfielder’s aerial prowess and physicality will surely be of some use to us as we look to gain something from Anfield.

Marcus Rashford (LW)

Rashford was one of the stars from our meeting with Liverpool last season, and he should start for us on Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku (ST)

The goal against Fulham would have given Lukaku a lot of confidence, and he could be looking at scoring more when he goes up against Dejan Lovren.
