The Champions League clash between Manchester United and Juventus was always going to have one major storyline involved – the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese’s return to Old Trafford is something that many United fans are looking forward to, even though he is not playing for them. The memories of the superstar are there to cherish.

Ronaldo left United to join Real Madrid in 2009 and then moved to Juventus at the start of this season. The 33-year-old won four Premier League titles, one FA Cup and a Champions League with the Red Devils.

Safe to say, he is one of the best to have ever played the game and holds a number of individual records that will be tough to break in the coming years.

The Euro 2016 winner posted an image inside Old Trafford, and several fans became emotional watching their former star.
