Paul Pogba scored a penalty in our 3-0 win over Young Boys in our Champions League opener. However, the manner in which he scored the goal got the BT Sports team talking.

The Frenchman was interviewed after the game and the presenter claimed that Pogba had taken 26 steps before he slotted the ball into the net.

It is certainly a different penalty-taking style and Pogba added that he wanted to destabilize the keeper before taking the shot.

It did work for the Frenchman and the player added that he needs to enjoy his football too. The 25-year-old was also happy with his first goal but claimed that the result was more important for Manchester United.

The former Juventus man claimed that starting the campaign with three points was great and his former club also had a win to celebrate after they beat Valencia 2-0 at the Mestalla.

Pogba’s penalty certainly is one to watch and it is an interesting technique. Taking these steps before shooting definitely gave him time to think and it seemed to work out for him.

Our next game is against Wolverhampton Wanderers and it will be interesting to see the Frenchman’s technique should we win a penalty on Saturday.
