Old Trafford will host Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 UCL clash this season.

The Manchester Evening News report that Manchester United are set to announce Polish teenager Lukas Bejger as a new signing.

The report further claims that United have beaten neighbours Manchester City to the signing of the 16-year-old. The move for the youngster was completed last month after Bejger received international clearance.

The report claims that United have not made an official announcement of their latest signing but the player has posed for his club portraits.

Bejger primarily plays as a central defender but can take up the role of a right-back too. The 16-year-old made his international debut against Scotland and even captained the U16 Polish side against Moldova earlier in the year.

The report further claims that Bejger would be aiming to become the first outfield Polish player to play for the first-team. Scout Budimir Vujacic also contacted Partizan Belgrade over 18-year-old Serbian Svetozar Markovic, who has been compared to Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos, as per the report.

United have stepped up their youth recruitment as the report adds that 15-year-old Martin Svidersky was unveiled by the club at the Carrington training ground in April.
