“Negative manager, Negative football” – Some Man United tear the team apart after frustrating 3-2 loss

Manchester United were awful in their match against Brighton and Hove Albion as the Red Devils lost 3-2. We did not have Alexis Sanchez in the team, however, we had enough quality to beat Chris Hughton’s men.

Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial started the game but it was Brighton that scored first via Glenn Murray in the 25th minute.

Shane Duffy made it 2-0 in the 27th minute but Lukaku scored via a header in the 34th minute to cut the deficit. Going into half-time with the scores at 2-1 would not have been the worst result given our performance but Eric Bailly gave away a needless penalty which Pascal Gross slotted past David de Gea to make it 3-1.

Mourinho brought on Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford at half-time but we could not do enough to break down the hosts.

Pogba converted a penalty deep into injury time but that was all about it. United certainly weren’t up to the speed and the loss was the right result.

A number of United fans were upset with the result and here are some of the reactions from Twitter.
