Jose Mourinho has claimed that he would not swap David de Gea for any keeper in the world and added that the Spaniard would sign a new contract at Manchester United.

The Manchester United manager was speaking to the reporters and was quoted by the Express as saying:

“Would I swap De Gea for anyone? No. That’s the best question and the easiest answer.

“His valuation is zero because he is a Manchester United player who, as soon as possible, will sign a new contract.”

Mourinho further added that De Gea likes being at United and does not want to leave the club. The United manager also highlighted how De Gea’s agent hasn’t caused problems.

“The agent didn’t create a war to try to achieve his objectives. He respected the club, he respected the player, the player was always keen to stay and happy to do so and the club understood how important he was.”

De Gea certainly is one of the best keepers in the world and Mourinho is right to suggest that he would not swap the Spaniard for anyone else.

The former Atletico Madrid man has gone from strength to strength during his stay at Man United and keeping him at Old Trafford will be key to our title challenges in the years to come.
