Chelsea have accepted a bid for Willian from Manchester United, according to Tuttosport (h/t Daily Star). The report claims that the Red Devils have bid £67m for the 29-year-old Brazilian, a fee that the London club are happy with.

Willian had been linked with a move to Barcelona too but Jose Mourinho is keen to link up with a player that he had worked with during his second spell at Chelsea. The Catalan club tried their level best as they had bid three times for the winger but they were rejected by the Stamford Bridge outfit.

The Brazilian would provide us with quality down the wing and the report even claims that Willian could be a replacement for Anthony Martial.

This will come as great news for Mourinho as the manager has already brought in three players. But no one would make an impact in our attack.

Willian might be close to 30 but he still is quality and works his socks off for the team. That could be one of the major reasons why Mourinho wants him, as the Brazilian will track back. His trickery and pace will be useful on the counter-attack.

United need to invest in the side as we look to win the Premier League title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson left and this could be the season for some surprises to take place.

Most of the top sides have had to struggle with players being unavailable for pre-season due to their extended break after the World Cup and if Mourinho can get the team working, we might have a real chance of picking up the title.
