Jose Mourinho does not want to even loan this World Cup star out this summer – report

There have been a few concerns over Victor Lindelof's form

Manchester United will resist the urge to send Victor Lindelof out on loan after the Swede’s incredible performances during the World Cup.

Lindelof only joined United at the start of last season for £31million but the 23-year-old struggled to get regular playing time and only started 13 Premier League games.

The Sun now reports that a number of clubs want to take the central defender on loan after his World Cup heroics. While Benfica is one club looking to sign the player up, Jose Mourinho is not willing to let his young defender leave Old Trafford in the coming season.

The report claims that the manager will give Lindelof more playing time on the pitch and given his time with Sweden, we should be looking to play him more next season.

Lindelof is only 23 and sending him out on loan, which should guarantee him more starts, is not the answer as he has to learn the English game.

Mourinho does seem to be doing the right thing with the youngster as he got a taste of Premier League football last season and should get to play a lot more this time around.

The Swede did find it a little difficult at the start but that is to be expected as the Premier League is one of the toughest in the world.

However, with some great World Cup experience and more under his belt, Lindelof could turn out to be an unexpected star for us this season.
