‘Welcome to the family’, ‘Title 21 incoming’ – Some United fans are excited as club completes third signing

Manchester United have completed their third signing of the summer and it is a bit of a surprising one as Lee Grant has moved from Stoke City to Old Trafford.

Stoke were relegated from the Premier League last season and many players might leave the side to resume playing at the top level, and Grant seems to have opened the doors by signing for us.

The 35-year-old played five games for the Potters last season and has signed a two-year deal at United.
The English keeper was quoted by our official website where he said this was a move he could not let pass:

“Moving to Manchester United has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. This was an opportunity that I couldn’t let pass and I’m thrilled to become a part of such a historic club.”

Grant would be a cover for our other keepers, David de Gea and Sergio Romero and his experience could be crucial for us in the coming season.

The United fans certainly had their say about the deal and here some of the best reactions to the deal from Twitter.
