Transfer News: Manchester United offered Sergej Milinkovic - Savic.

Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is one of the most wanted footballers in the world and the Serbian midfielder’s price-tag has been revealed, thanks to Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo (h/t The Express) claims that the Catalan giants have contacted Lazio about the price of the 23-year-old Serbian.

The report claims that Lazio have kept €80m as the starting price for discussions and that has not gone too well with Barcelona.

However, this could mean good news for us as United had feared that the Serie A club would want more than €100m for the highly-rated midfielder.

There are a couple of other clubs who are interested in the 23-year-old as Juventus and Real Madrid have also kept tabs on Milinkovic-Savic.

The 23-year-old did not have a great World Cup as he only recorded a single assist and his team were eliminated from the group stage after their 2-0 loss against Brazil in the final group game.

Milinkovic-Savic played every minute of Serbia’s World Cup adventure and would be a great addition to the current Manchester United side.

If we do have to spend a little more than €80m for the 23-year-old, Ed Woodward might be willing to splash the cash.

However, with Juventus and Real Madrid in the running, we could end up in the middle of a bidding war, something that Lazio would ideally want.
