(Photos) Manchester United’s £19m new signing spotted on crutches

Diogo Dalot

The season hasn’t even started and there are already injury concerns for our new signings. Diogo Dalot, who recently moved to Manchester United from Porto for £19m, has now been spotted on crutches, as reported by The Express. The 19-year-old was seen limping in Manchester last night and has sparked fears regarding the length of his absence.

The report, however, adds that the player has a knee injury and that we were aware of the condition prior to signing him.

The youngster has been told to keep weight off the leg by our medical team and there is hope that he will be fit for pre-season training. This comes just a few days after we announced the signing of the 19-year-old.

A couple of days ago, another of our new signings picked up an injury with his national side. Fred was injured in training while preparing for the World Cup with Brazil but hopefully, both players will be back stronger ahead of next season.

It isn’t unheard of for clubs to sign players who are carrying small knocks as if it was anything serious we would have pulled out of the deal.

Dalot and Fred will probably be monitored by our medical team over the coming days and weeks to ensure they come back fit and ready for the pre-season training camp.

Hopefully, the pair will be able to give it their all ahead of the training camp and can play a major role in us winning some silverware and more.
