The Spanish midfielder confirmed that talks for a new contract extension is in the works and that as of now his future career is undecided.

Last season, the Spanish-born midfielder played a pivotal role in the midfield for the team in their run of winning the Europa League and the League Cup, which saw him gathered 50 appearances in all competitions, and took the award of the man of the match in the Europa League final against Dutch side Ajax.

“What I like is to give solutions to the coach,” he said. “I’m a team player and I want to be a part wherever. … I even played at right back last season against Everton at Old Trafford.”
