Anthony Martial rejects new Manchester United offer amidst Juventus interest

Anthony Martial has struggled at Manchester United.

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus are ready to intensify their interest in Anthony Martial after the nippy attacker rejected a proposed new contract from Manchester United.

The Daily Mail claims that the Frenchman is growing frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities following the high-profile arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January.

Martial has made 40 appearances in all competitions and has scored 11 goals this season. He has often been often rotated with Marcus Rashford. Martial is preparing to look for greener pastures this summer, the Daily Mail adds.

The report says that Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have a long-held interest in Martial.

The France international is currently struggling to get into the first-team, with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez firmly holding down the attacking roles.

United manager Jose Mourinho has maintained that his club does not need any more attacking players this summer, despite retaining an interest in Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Chelsea’s Willian.

There is another name that the Red Devils have discussed and that is Watford’s Brazilian winger Richarlison, who is rated at £40million, the Daily Mail claims.

The Daily Mail says that Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala is attracting interest from some of the top European clubs and while Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuain are above 30, Juve are looking out for a young, proven goalscorer.

The Turin giants hold an interest in Martial but may struggle to match the personal demands that United are currently offering the Frenchman, the report adds.
