Manchester United target Jorginho admits that the Premier League suits his style of play

According to the Daily Mail, Napoli midfielder Jorginho has put English clubs on high alert after admitting that the Premier League would suit his style of play.

The midfielder has been a key part of Maurizio Sarri’s Serie A outfit this season. Napoli trail league leaders Juventus by 2 points and with just 9 games left in the league, they will be determined to break the Turin giants’ domination in the league.

Jorginho has attracted a lot of interest from Europe’s elite clubs due to his performances. The Brazilian-born Italian has garnered the attention of both Manchester United and Manchester City, reports the Daily Mail.

“I think the Premier League suits my game, but it also depends on who I have next to me because I need to be surrounded by players with certain characteristics,” Jorginho told the Daily Mail after Italy’s 1-1 draw with England at Wembley on Tuesday.

“There are teams in England who play the football I like, keeping the ball on the ground, playing a quick game with one-twos, pressing their opponents high up the pitch.

“If one of these clubs were interested in me, I’d adapt to them well and they could adapt to my way of playing, which isn’t so common.

“If you have more than one option then you can choose the one that’s right for you, your style of play and characteristics.”

The Daily Mail claims that Jorginho could spark a bidding war at the end of the season, following his impressive displays at the heart of the midfield for Sarri’s men as Napoli look to end Juventus’ supremacy.

As far as United are concerned, Michael Carrick has confirmed that he will retire at the end of the season. Marouane Fellaini has been offered a contract extension but the midfielder is yet to agree to a new deal.

With Fellaini having entered the final five months of his contract at Old Trafford, Jorginho would be a welcome signing for our club.
