[Photos] Alexis Sanchez arrives at Carrington for first Manchester United training session

Manchester United’s latest signing Alexis Sanchez made his way to the Carrington training ground ahead of his first day as a player for Jose Mourinho. The Chilean completed a long and kind of cumbersome switch from Arsenal which also saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move in the opposite direction.

The 29-year-old might have come on a free transfer but according to the Mirror, he is being paid a hefty sum of £400,000-a-week and also earned a rather mouth-watering signing-on fee of £7.5million.

The Chilean would be wearing the iconic No.7 jersey at Old Trafford and a number of pictures were out in full force as Sanchez made his way along with the likes of Mourinho, Daley Blind and Romelu Lukaku.

A Debut Coming Up For Sanchez?

Even though Sanchez only joined the side for their training session on Tuesday, there are reports that he could be thrown into the starting XI for the FA Cup tie on Friday against Yeovil at Huish Park. There are concerns about how he would fit in, with Romelu Lukaku playing as the lone striker but Sanchez can be deployed in a number of positions and we are certain he would be a great player for us.

The 29-year-old certainly seems to be up for the task and stated that his “dream was to play for Manchester United”.

“Since I was a young boy I’ve always said that my dream was to play for Manchester United and I’m not just saying that because I’m here now and today it’s come true,” Sanchez said.

“I always said as a kid that I’d like to play for United, and I once spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about it.

“We chatted for around twenty minutes and I told him that my dream was to come here to Manchester United.”

The 29-year-old also added how incredible the club is and also claimed that it is the biggest in the country.

“It really is a massive club, very powerful, and so now, when I got the opportunity to come here.

“I looked at the badge and my hairs just stood up on end because it’s a powerful club and biggest in England.”

While a lot has been said about him fitting into the side, there is no doubt that he will add quality to our team and his tenacity in front of the goal will lead to a lot of positive performances from our attack. Sanchez is a coup for us and hopefully, he will hit the ground running in the FA Cup tie on Friday.
