Manchester United Ready To Offer £300,000-a-week To Real Madrid Superstar (Not Bale)

Casemiro

Manchester United are ready to offer a huge wage packet to Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro in order to lure him from Real Madrid. According to reports from Spain (h/t Manchester Evening News), the Red Devils are ready to offer the Brazilian “a wage packet close to that of their top earner Paul Pogba in a bid to convince him to move”.

United are not alone in their admiration for the midfielder as the big-spending Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping an eye on the player. The offer of wages in the range of £300,000-a-week is expected to help United prise him away from Madrid.

The challenge, though, comes not just from PSG but also from Madrid’s intention of keeping him at the club. Casemiro is integral to the plans of Zinedine Zidane and often, he is one of the first names on Real’s team sheet.

The French manager has often described the Brazil international as a fundamental part of his squad, which means it could be very difficult to get the Spanish Champions to the discussion table.

United manager Jose Mourinho has experience of working with Casemiro during his time at Madrid but it is only under Zidane that Casemiro has established himself in Real’s first-team.

Mourinho has a number of midfield options at his disposal with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini being the choices for the Portuguese tactician. However, there are clouds of uncertainty over the long-term futures of Herrera and Fellaini.

Although it is expected that the Red Devils will hold on to both Herrera and Fellaini, there is a growing feeling within the club that they could lose one or both the players in the coming windows.

That probably explains the desire to go for Casemiro, with Mourinho ready to sanction a wage packet to make him one of the top earners at the club. But, Real Madrid and Manchester United have endured frosty relationship in the previous transfer windows and negotiations could be a bit rough considering the past.

As such, it is difficult to see how Casemiro can be prised away from Real Madrid.
