“Who’s needs Pogba when you have Fellaini?” – Man Utd Fans Erupt After 4-0 Win vs Crystal Palace

Marouane Fellaini

Another game, another 4-0 win!

Manchester United cruised past Crystal Palace with a 4-0 scoreline, with Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku getting their names on the scoresheet. United didn’t have to wait too long for the deadlock to the broken, as in the third minute, Juan Mata put the ball in the back of the net after some fine work by Marcus Rashford down the left flank. The 19-year-old literally toyed with the Palace defence before finding space in the danger area. As soon as he got the opportunity, he placed a well-worked pass into Juan Mata’s way and the Spaniard made no mistake in scoring his first Premier League goal of this season.

United were expected to go all out on Palace, but the Eagles initially managed to relieve the pressure. Palace, on their part, had their fair share of chances but weren’t clinical enough to trouble United. Some thirty minutes after the first goal, United got their comfort after Marouane Fellaini finished the ball from close range, from Ashley Young’s cross. And again, the scoreline could well have stated differently if the likes of Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan had taken their chances perfectly.

But all those misses were put to rest after Marouane Fellaini scored United’s third goal with a well-taken header. Romelu Lukaku, furthermore, missed an absolute sitter while Jesse Lingard fired his shot well above the target. As the game approached its final five minutes, United finally got their fourth courtesy of some fine work from Anthony Martial. The Frenchman played in an inviting ball into the danger area and Lukaku, who was given all the space on earth, only had to tap the ball into the net. 7 Premier League games, 7 goals.

With that being done, this is how Twitter reacted to the result.
