For many Manchester United fans, it is a no-brainer. Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera is one of the most revered players at the Old Trafford and is a fan-favourite. With his performances last season, he has dazzled the Red Devils faithful and established himself as a vital player for Jose Mourinho.
The Daily Star reports that the club is ready to reward the player with a massive new contract this summer. The midfielder has just one more year left on his contract although there is absolutely no worry in the Old Trafford top echelons about his stay.
Let’s look at the downside – if the contract talks break down, the club may be forced to sell him this transfer window. With Spanish giants Barcelona reportedly interested in the player, there is some concern among the fans.
All that should now be passé as report indicates a £200,000 per week contract on the table that should make him one of the highest earners at the club.

Will Herrera sign the deal or will his mind be swayed by Barca’s interest? Herrera is always that ideal player you want in your side – someone who does his work on the field and wouldn’t rock the boat. A return to Spain may be an interesting proposition but Herrera has always maintained that he is happy at the club. The fans’ support is going to be a decisive factor in his stay.
