Manchester United have agreed a whopping £75million fee with Everton for the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku, reports on Thursday morning stated with several reputable sources running the story (BBC).
The 24-year old striker finished as the second highest goal-getter in the Premier League last season with 25 strikes and having refused to ink a new deal with the Toffees, he was largely expected to leave.
However, it was Lukaku’s former club Chelsea, who were believed to be leading the race for the striker’s signature, with Manchester United pursuing Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata. But with the club not being able to reach an agreement with the Spanish giants, they acted fast and swooped in for Lukaku and are on the verge of completing their second transfer of the summer.
With the reports fast emerging on Thursday, United fans took Twitter to react to the news of our club agreeing a deal to bring in Lukaku to the Old Trafford, and here are some of the best reactions from the social media:

I didn't want mourinho at united but he came good. I'm trusting him again with Lukaku coming to united.

If United are able to work Rooney into a swap deal with Everton for Lukaku, I reckon we stop transfers. It's never getting better than that.
