Manchester United Hot-Shot Backs Jose’s Hunt For A New Striker Amidst Alvaro Morata Speculation

This boy was completely unknown to the world until he made his debut for Manchester United. He grabbed everyone’s attention and announced something big to the world of football. It was the beginning of someone so special. Having joined the Manchester United academy at the age of 7, he has now grown into an important first-team player at the age of just 19. The weight of representing the huge name of Manchester United doesn’t seem to affect him on the pitch.

If you were wondering what his mentality is actually like, these words of his should give a clear picture of what he is. Remember, he is just 19-years-old, and he doesn’t seem to really bother about fighting it out with the big boys if they arrive at Old Trafford and he says that is what he wants!

Marcus Rashford made a total of 53 appearances for us last season and scored 11 goals and 6 assists. he managed to get around 3000 minutes on the pitch in total and surely, the youngster will be satisfied with what he got. Any player in his position would be forgiven for hoping for more game time with no competition for his place at all, but it looks like Rashford doesn’t want that. Amidst rumours about Alvaro Morata’s arrival at Old Trafford, Rashford has backed Jose Mourinho’s hunt for a new striker.

Talking to Sky Sports (h/t Metro), he said:

“At a big club you are going to attract big players and that’s what we want. Anyone who can come in and help the club win trophies, which is the ultimate aim, they are the players we want to bring in. Good competition is important if you want to be successful.”

So here he is; a 19-year old hot-shot welcoming the potential new arrivals with open arms and letting them know that he is ready to compete with them for a place in the team!

This is really impressive from the lad. Of course, he wouldn’t probably have said anything else other than this in an interview but I have a feeling this was from his heart. We have seen him on the pitch and so far, we can conclude that he is a player with big mentality. Maybe he took his lessons from Zlatan Ibrahimovic!

However, I am impressed with Rashford’s comments and the guy is destined for big things in football!
