Manchester United are reportedly set to face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea for the signature for highly rated Italian striker Andrea Belotti. Belotti, who currently plays for Torino caught the attention of everyone with his impressive displays for the Italian club, where they finished 9th in the table.

Belotti was terrific for Torino and scored 28 goals in all competitions with 6 assists as well. He is certainly not expected to come at a cheap price. But the fact that he is being chased by the top clubs highlights his quality.

Manchester United were believed to be chasing the Italian as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is yet to commit his future to the club. Wayne Rooney’s  future is up in the air as well and hence the need for a hotshot striker looks like a must. Now, according to The Sun, Manchester United are facing competition from London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea for the signature of Andrea Belotti, who is rated at around £85million.

Arsenal and Chelsea faced off on Saturday in the FA Cup final, which the Gunners won 2-1 to claim the trophy that was held by us until then. Arsenal now have 13 FA Cup trophies, while we have 12. The way the game went, Arsenal should clearly have scored more goals. The story is as simple as that. They haven’t really replaced the classy Robin Van Persie yet, and are paying the price for it. It is remarkable how even after so many years after the departure of the star Dutchman, they haven’t replaced him properly.

Nevertheless, the competition from Arsenal or Chelsea need not be considered as a huge point of worry due to different reasons. Chelsea already have Diego Costa, who seems to be happy at Stamford Bridge. He is being backed up by the talented Michy Batshuayi, who is more than capable of being a backup striker for Chelsea.

On the other hand, Arsenal desperately need a striker. But let’s be honest. Arsenal are not in the Champions League, neither are they on the way forward. So it is highly unlikely that a young and talented player like Belotti snubbing Manchester United to join either of those 2 London clubs.

Do you think Belotti will be a Manchester United player next season?
