Manchester United were beaten 2-1 in the final game played at White Hart Lane. Jose Mourinho sent out another experimental side as we have the all-important Europa League final looming big against Ajax.
Victor Wanyama and Harry Kane scored the two goals for Spurs but it was a United man who scored the final goal at the stadium. Wayne Rooney got the faintest of touches to score the only goal for the Red Devils, though he had a bit of an off game, especially in the first half when he was tackling rather aimlessly.
The Englishman hasn’t been at his best in a number of games this season and it might be tough seeing him start in the upcoming final.
While fans were pleased that Rooney got the goal, there were a few who suggested his time at the club could be coming to an end and we share some of the updates from Twitter from the emotional game.
Wayne Rooney scored the last ever goal at WHL, and the last ever goal scored at WHL by a Spurs player is an Arsenal fan!

I remember when Wayne Rooney Would Sprint back to his Own Box To regain Possession if he had lost it. Was a truly world Class Player.

Rooney is doing what Ibra’s been doing all season – not impacting the game much but coming up with goals. 3 goals in his last 4 starts #MUFC pic.twitter.com/Bp4p7geEgu

Rooney scored but there are so many cracks that it’s difficult to find a sheet that covers the cracks.
