[Pictures] Zlatan Ibrahimovic Snapped Walking Out Of Pittsburgh Hospital In Crutches

Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Manchester United

Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffered a horrible injury during United’s Europa League game against Anderlecht last month. He landed awkwardly after attempting a header and injured his knee. Many feared about the extent of the injury that the Swede suffered until his agent Mino Raiola revealed that the giant striker underwent a successful knee surgery and that the injury is not a career-ending one.

Raiola was quoted by The Telegraph,

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone successful knee surgery. He will make a full recovery AND HAS NOT SUFFERED A CAREER-ENDING INJURY. The procedure was performed by Freddie Fu, M.D., and Volker Musahl, M.D., of the UPMC Sports Medicine program in Pittsburgh. Zlatan has started rehabilitation at UPMC and will remain under the care of Dr.Fu and Dr.Musahl throughout his recovery. Zlatan and the medical team are not available for interviews at this time. Additional updates will follow at a later date.”

The veteran striker seems to be on his way to full fitness and he was pictured hobbling with crutches after his successful knee surgery. It is still not known as to how long his recovery will take but now that the surgery has been done successfully, consider the recovery process almost half done.

Zlatan is United’s top goal scorer this season and has 28 goals to his name in what was turning out to be a brilliant debut season in England. But the injury spoiled the Swede’s party just at a time when his presence was sorely needed. Hopefully, he recovers soon from his injury and signs a contract extension with the club as well. A quality player like him will be a huge asset for Manchester United on any given day.

Get well soon, Zlatan Ibrahimovic!
