Arsene Wenger finally got one over Jose Mourinho as Arsenal defeated Manchester United 2-0 thanks to goals from Danny Welbeck and Granit Xhaka.
Manchester United saw their top four hopes get a boost when Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw by Southampton but Arsenal were the ones taking advantage of the points dropped by the Reds.
United’s 25 match unbeaten streak also came to an end against Arsenal but they know if they win the Europa League, they will play in the Champions League next season, unlike Arsenal. The Gunners need Liverpool to capitulate and they have to win a number of games before they can haul the Reds.
It wasn’t a great day to be a United fan and Twitter was abuzz with reactions from all over the world.

1 win in 8 vs Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. But yeah, our manager is a master tactician when it comes to the big games.

How can a 19 year old lad walk into this Manchester United side (against Arsenal) and look like the best player on the pitch? Embarrassing.
