Liverpool Forced To Change Their Twitter Bio After Manchester United Fan’s Teasing Post

Liverpool have had to remove their Twitter bio as a result of a Manchester United fan’s alertness prior to the EFL Cup final. Liverpool had a Twitter bio that read “Official worldwide account of Liverpool FC, England’s most successful club with 41 major honours.” It was a status held along with Manchester United. However, a fan, who is on Twitter @MourinhoMindset, pointed out prior to the EFL Cup final with Southampton that United would become the most successful club if they managed to win the trophy. After a 3-2 success over Claude Puel’s team, United have managed to lift 42 major honours. It has dispossessed Liverpool from the top of the English tree.

Manchester United secured a 2-0 lead in the game thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Jesse Lingard. Just when it seemed that the club were cruising to a victory, Southampton managed to get back into the game through 3 horror minutes for Manchester United. Manolo Gabbiadini scored just before the half-time. He also managed to get Southampton back on level terms just a few minutes after the break. Jose Mourinho was livid with his players, but the Portuguese manager managed to turn around the situation in the second half.

Manchester United started pushing more and more towards the end of the game, and they were rewarded with a fine goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic with only three minutes of normal time remaining. The goal helped seal a brilliant start to Mourinho’s career at Manchester United. The Portuguese manager has now managed to win two of the opening trophies – Community Shield and EFL Cup.

Liverpool still remain as the most successful club would it comes to the EFL Cup after having won the title eight times compared to Manchester United, who have just secured their fifth trophy. However, Liverpool have fallen way behind United even though in terms of numbers it is only 41 vs 42. Compared to the dominant days in the 90s, Liverpool had a commanding position over Manchester United and the rest of the English league. Sir Alex Ferguson famously commented that his main task was to knock Liverpool off the perch. Even though this comment was largely directed with regard to the 18 league titles in mind, Ferguson has played a major role in dispossessing Liverpool completely from the top of the three.

After being noted of the point, Liverpool quickly changed their Twitter bio. It now reads “Official worldwide account of Liverpool FC”. The Manchester United fan’s tweet has been retweeted more than 3000 times.
