The former Italian international defender Gianluca Zambrotta has warned Manchester City and Pep Guardiola ahead of their Derby clash this weekend. The 39-year-old has hailed Manchester United’s new acquisition Zlatan Ibrahimovic by saying that he is still as good as Barcelona’s star men Luis Suarez and Neymar.
The 34-year-old striker will be playing his biggest game in United’s shirt this weekend as the Devils will be welcoming their newly shaped cross-town rivals Manchester City. Just like the Devils, the Citizens too have enjoyed a fine run of form as they have clinched all the points from their opening fixtures of the Premier League.
The Big-Swede has featured in the Premier League games for the Devils and till date, he has four goals to his credits, including a brace against Southampton. The 34-year-old could well turn out to be a hero in the fixture as the rivals will be without their star man Sergio Aguero, who will be serving his three-match ban.
Now, the current Delhi Dynamoes coach, Gianluca Zambrotta said:
“Wherever Zlatan plays he does very well.
“He is a winner everywhere he goes. He compares with the best players at the moment like Suarez and Neymar.”
Zambrotta, who played with Ibrahimovic at Juventus and AC Milan, added:
“I played with him twice and he’s a good professional and has good motivation. I have always liked him.”
