Juan Mata’s future at Manchester United is surely looking uncertain soon after the moment his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho took charge at Old Trafford and, after he was brought on and then off again in the Community Shield match against Leicester City, it appears he will be on the way out of Manchester United.
According to The Times, Mata is expected to try to force his way out of the club even though United have indicated that he is not for sale. The paper says Everton manager Ronald Koeman could now try to make a move for him.
Everton have explored the possibility of signing Juan Mata witnessing that the Manchester United midfielder might not be preferred as much at Old Trafford. Ronald Koeman tied up the signing of Swansea’s defender Ashley Williams and now wants to add an attacking midfielder in addition to the expected signing of Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace. The Toffeemen is in a desperate need of improving their squad and it looks like the Spanish playmaker can make a huge difference in their squad.
Everton has been struggling to finish the Premier League at the top-half of the table since a couple of years, standing at 11th position from two consecutive seasons. The once feared club is now degrading in their form like Newcastle, and the fans of the Merseyside club are furious with results that have been coming in.
Juan Mata should make a move to Everton if he really wants to experience a first team football. The Spain international will see himself on the team-sheet on a regular basis, and might as well become the favourite one among The Blues’ fans.
He still has lots of tricks up his sleeve and also the time to show them. The 28-year-old midfielder can see things finally coming his way at a club like Everton. Linking up with the likes of Lukaku, Bolasie, and Deulofeu, things might actually turn out better than ever for him.
Everton are into more attacking style of play, and make sure they get as many goals as they can while they are winning. Playing in a team, which has that kind of mentality, players like Mata are sure to be appreciated. There won’t be any insufficiency of chances provided by the Spanish midfielder.
Jose clearly doesn’t seem to prefer Mata anywhere on the pitch, especially now that Pogba has arrived. The two-time Chelsea Player of the Year should make a move now while the offers are good. Maybe after a year or two, he wouldn’t be wanted by any other decent club, and will be trying to settle at a league like MLS.
