This is the story of every year that a Brazilian wonder is born from nowhere in the footballing world and every top club tries to lure him into the squad. Now, right at this very moment, the entire transfer window is revolving around a 19 year old Brazil U23 international, Gabriel Jesus. The wonder boy, who scored 54 goals in 48 matches for Palmeiras’ youth team is a regular target for the clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Gabriel, who made his senior debut back in March 2015 is touted as a player, who possesses the same skills as Neymar. Right at this very moment, there is a bidding war going on between the two Manchester clubs for the player, and the reports from Globesporte claims that the player is in advanced talk with City’s manager Pep Guardiola, while the red half of Manchester are willing to pay 38m for the player, hence, no concrete decision has been made.

The player can easily become a first team regular for both the clubs as the clubs have really lacked the attacking instinct Gabriel possesses. Well, it’s just a moment of time to see where this wonder boy joins, until then, we give you three reasons, why Manchester United should really splash 38 million for Gabriel Jesus:

  1. He will Bring Speed-

This is no secret that Manchester United was heavily criticized due to their boring football last season, and yes, I do admit that the manager played a strong role in that, but we cannot really blame the manager alone. His arrivals means a Brazilian samba at the Old Trafford. We all are aware of the fact that it is Brazilians, who possesses the tricky and pacey feet, hence, his arrival will obviously bring the pace in the attack.

He might struggle due to in physicality, but with his blistering pace and smooth dribbling abilities, he could rule the Premier League in the coming years. Honestly speaking, players like Carrick, Schneiderlin, Rooney and Ibrahimovic have lost their pace (not their skills though), hence, Gabriel will bring a new tenacity and could easily compliment the style with Martial and Rashford at the Theatre of Dreams.

  1. A star for the Future-

Buying Gabriel into the side will end Manchester United’s long term striking woes. We all are aware of the fact that the Big Swede has come here just for a single season and soon after his departure, the side will have to find an alternative, hence, buying Gabriel now really make sense. The versatile attacker is not a sole centre-forward, but after Ibrahimovic departs, Martial or Rashford will be taking his place, hence he could join the first team in an attacking role.

Manchester United are a team, who loves to play a creative brand of football, therefore, Gabriel could well be the answer for the side.

  1. Mourinho’s answer to his Critics-

In his very first press conference, the new manager Jose Mourinho was asked that the way he handles his youths. The Portuguese responded in style and revealed that he has promoted 49 players since his managerial career started.

Well, still many believe that he will only be using his stars and senior names in the squad. If the transfer for the 19-year-old is captured, the manager could slap his critics with a great style. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this just because Mourinho has a reputation, the player himself is a great prospect for the squad.
