Manchester United are set to offer Jesse Lingard a new contract which would see the player earn £40,000-a-week, and would tie down the player’s future at the club.
The player’s contract was due for an update last season itself, however Van Gaal’s departure from the Old Trafford put the negotiations to a halt and now the player will be signing a new deal at United.
The player made 25 Premier League appearances last season for United which includes 19 starts and has been sanctioned an update in his contract by the Portuguese boss. The player’s current contract is set to expire in 2018 and earns £25,000-a-week.
The player has proved to be a valuable asset for the Red Devils and has an FA Cup victory goal against Crystal Palace to his credit.
The player has many clubs looking out for him after his excellent displays which further led him to be ahead of Memphis Depay in the pecking order.
