The new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has started his work for the Old Trafford side soon after his arrival. The Portuguese tactician wasted no time at all and signed the Ivorian defender Eric Bailly. Well, to be perfectly honest, United needed a strong and tough center back and the manager has most probably ensured the team’s backline for the near future.
It is obvious that Mourinho will be building the team according to his plans and it won’t be a shock if the fans see some departures of big names from the club. Players like Juan Mata and Daley Blind are those reported players, whose future is under immense doubts.
We all are aware of the fact that Manchester United needs a striking general, a player who will guide the side in the attacks. The Devils were extremely poor in the last couple of seasons in terms of attack. Former manager Louis van Gaal spent millions in order to bring the side back on track, but his tactics and his style of play was heavily criticized by the fans and by many footballing experts and eventually, he was sacked.
Jose Mourinho is a proven winner! Yes, he had a tough time with Chelsea last season, but the Portuguese has won 2 premier league titles with the Blues during his 2 spells with the side and hence, he is a worthy candidate.
Now, it is reported that the Portuguese is desperately chasing the unsettled Real Madrid star James Rodriguez as well as the Armenian sensation Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Both of whom need no introduction.
Talking about the Armenian wonder Mkhitaryan, the 27-year-old played 31 games for the Yellow Wall last season and scored 11 goals and bagged 15 assists and marked his name in the list of those few players, who reached the double figures in both goals and assists across Europe.
James, on the other hand, had a difficult time with the Los Blancos and was able to make 26 appearances and most of them came as a substitute. But even in his limited time, the Columbian scored 7 goals and bagged 8 assists to his name.
If Manchester United manage to bring in the attacking duo, then it is surely a job done for the side. In James, they would a prolific goal scorer and in Mkhitaryan, they would get an absolute solid playmaker.
James Rodriguez is one of the best youth prospect in the sport and is capable of operating the game from several positions. He stated that he prefers the attacking midfield area, but can be used as a striker as well, and believe me, he would deliver the same damage. Being a South American breed, he has got those pacy and tricky legs that could easily haunt many defenders in the Premier League.
James possesses a deadly left foot and if given a room, he would punish you with a vicious shot. To be perfectly honest, Manchester United needs a player like James and even James needs a club like Manchester United, where he would get a proper game time as well as the European football.
Henrikh, on the other hand, is more of a playmaker, but is also a threat if given the opportunity. The Armenian can be deployed on the wings and can also dictate the game from the centre. Imagine what kind of damager Manchester United will do if they line up with Mkhitaryan, James, Ibrahimovic and Martial. It is like the dream attacking lineup for the Devils and it is safe to say that they would become a powerhouse of Europe once again.
