Manchester United fans are surely having a sense of optimism as the ‘Special One’ has finally took the charge of the Old Trafford side, Manchester United. The Devils were the most ‘Boring’ side in the 2015-16 season as they lacked the attacking threat throughout the season.
But somehow, the side finished 5th, and also won the FA cup title and therefore, qualified for the UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE. Jose Mourinho will be looking to build the entire squad right from the beginning as to make them the title challengers once again.
The very first thing he might want to do is to buy a new striker because to be completely honest, Manchester United does not have that attacking personnel, who could guide the side to the paramount. The team just cannot rely on Marcus Rashford for the entire season.
Since the appointment of Jose Mourinho, many players from all around Europe have been linked with a move to the Old Trafford. The Portuguese manager has already completed the signing of Eric Bailly and now, he will be looking to add more strength to the squad.
In recent times, two German names have been linked with Manchester United; Leroy Sane and Julian Draxler. Both the midfielders had a wonderful season with their respective clubs, and not just Manchester United, they have invited interest from many top clubs around Europe.

Firstly, talking about the stats, Draxler made 21 appearances for Wolfsburg last season in the Bundesliga and scored 5 goals and also bagged 5 assists. Sane, on the other hand, made 33 appearances for Schalke and scored 8 goals and 6 assists.
Keeping the fact in mind that Manchester United’s game usually depends on passing, and therefore, according to us, Julian Draxler would be the perfect fit for the Devils as he had the average passing accuracy of 83% to that of 78% of Sane.
Talking about Draxler, the 22-year old German has always been into the shadows but is capable of delivering a high-quality performance. Draxler is an old school winger, who believes in building up the game rather than going for individual glory.
Besides that, the German trickster is a pure threat is pressing the opponent and due to his high work rate, he is capable of tracking back in the field to defend. He won 51% of his average duels last season and that is the best example of what kind of player he is.
Now, Leroy Sane, the 20-year-old German international had an extraordinary season. Sane is one of the quickest players on the field and loves to take the shots from distance. He usually cuts deeper into the opponent’s box from the wings to create an opportunity.
Being a teenager, Sane lacks maturity in the game, and that makes Draxler a worthy candidate for United. Besides that, Sane is widely criticized due to selfishness on the field and that sometimes frustrate the teammates in the game. Draxler, on the other hand, is known for his playmaking ability rather than bursting right at the opponent’s defence. The game against Real Madrid was the best example of it.
In my opinion, Julian Draxler would be the perfect man for Manchester United as he has the European experience, and could easily adopt the management of Jose Mourinho without being a frustrating figure.
