Good News! Real Madrid Giving Up On Their Long Term Manchester United Target

de gea

Club’s player of the year for the last season and the seasons before that, there have been doubts about the future of David De Gea ever since Real Madrid started showing interest.

Now with the appointment of Jose Mourinho the Spaniard is set to remain in the club and the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has conceded that it is unlikely that Real will approach the goalkeeper. Real Madrid nearly signed De Gea last summer before an error in documentation stopped the transfer on the deadline day. There were reports a month ago that the goalkeeper will look to leave the club if Louis Van Gaal stays for a third season. Now he has a contract with Manchester United that extends till 2020 and United will be able to command pretty much any transfer fee that they want.

Real Madrid are also linked with Thiabut Courtois from Chelsea as the Blues’ goalkeeper has refused to rule out a move in the summer.
