After Renato Sanches, now Victor Lindelof is being heavily linked with Manchester United for a move in the summer transfer window. The Swedish center back is currently with Benfica and as per reports the player has been in Manchester United’s radar for quite some time.
According to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Manchester Untied has bid £20.4m for the player. Lindelof has appeared in 15 games for Benfica this season and at just 21 years old is believed to have his best years ahead of him. Manchester United are expected to be in the market for a central defender as they are looking for a suitable partner for Chris Smalling.
The Red Devils have been forced to play Daley Blind at the center back position and will definitely need defensive reinforcement in the summer. However having missed Champions League they are likely to pay over the tops for even average players but in order to challenge for the title they may have to do so.
