Manchester United’s Predicted Line-up vs Bournemouth: Rojo Out Borthwick-Jackson In

After a disappointing loss against West Ham United on Tuesday, United braces themselves for their last Premier League match against Bournemouth at home.

Champions League dreams for United have been shattered, but there’s still hope if their local rivals slip against Swansea City away from home. Van Gaal’s men will go in full force against The Cherries to avenge their defeat when the two sides met in December 2015.

Let’s look at how the Red Devils will line-up against Eddie Howe’s side.

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Goalkeeper: David De Gea-

De Gea’s performance was phenomenal against The Hammers despite the fact that he conceded three goals. The Spaniard makes his way to starting XI any day of the week.

Defenders: Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Dailey Blind, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson-

With Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian out and recovering, Van Gaal has only two options to play on the left-back- Rojo and Borthwick Jackson and I hope he picks Borthwick Jackson.

Chris Smalling and Dailey Blind will have their places as usual

Midfielders: Michael Carrick, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney-

We can only expect one change from the line-up against West Ham United, and that would be Morgan Schneiderlin. The French midfielder played awfully against Bilic’s side and was substituted in the half-time. With Fellaini still in his suspension period, Michael Carrick will fill up Schneiderlin’s spot.

Hopefully, we somehow see Wayne Rooney not playing in the deep midfielder role after this tactic by Van Gaal was widely criticized by fans after Tuesday’s Premier League game.

Ander Herrera might be given another chance as he struggled to adjust to the game and the tempo of passing in their last match. The Spanish playmaker was still able to call it a day as he was involved in most of United’s attacks with his key passes and movements.

Forward: Marcus Rashford-

Rashford has been goalless in the past few games now, but has been more effective than many of his teammates which don’t seem quite bad. The youngster is taking time, gaining some confidence and experience playing in every game(not literally)  since his debut. And also, both Rooney and Martial are now midfielders under Van Gaal. So the 18-year-old is the next best option to play up front. Well, looks like Van Gaal doesn’t have much of a choice for a striker, does he? Exactly the reason why United needs to sign a striker as soon as possible.
